Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a new opportunity in a vibrant primary school?
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will require someone to join our primary school in Chingford, East London. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting students and teachers, leading small group sessions, and delivering pre-planned lessons.
About the Role:
- Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Start: ASAP
- Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Location: E4, East London
- Setting: Prmary School
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons.
- Cover classeswhen teachers are absent, maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Lead small group interventions to boost student attainment.
- Support students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN.
- Help assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Assist in managing the classroom and ensuring a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the wider school team, including teachers and the SENCO.
About You:
- Experience as an HLTAor a similar role within a primary school setting.
- Confidence in delivering lessons and working with pupils across different year groups.
- Knowledge of SEN and experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A passion for helping children achieve their best and promoting a positive learning environment.
