Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (Term‑time only)
Long Term Futures are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive secondary school rated Good by Ofsted in all areas, including leadership and behaviour. Supporting a diverse body of approximately 950 students aged 11-16, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an inspiring educational journey.
What You'll Do
Your core role is to support learning as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary setting, with a focus on students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Provide effective 1:1 and small-group support, helping students access learning and regulate behaviour
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to implement planned interventions
- Use positive behaviour techniques to support pupils, including those with challenging behaviour
- Monitor student progress and contribute to classroom observations and pastoral checks
You'll be the steady presence who helps students engage and feel supported throughout the school day.
Who You Are
- You have experience of working with young people in education
- You have knowledge and experience of working with special educational needs (SEN)
- You hold (or are willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS certificate
