Are you a nurturing, experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have proven experience using therapeutic approaches to help children thrive?
About the Role
We are recruiting for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the NG5 area. This role involves working closely with pupils with SEMH needs, many of whom may display challenging behaviour. You'll deliver structured support, both 1:1 and in small groups, helping children regulate their emotions, engage in learning, and develop trusting relationships.
Experience with recognised therapeutic interventions is essential, and we're particularly keen to hear from candidates trained in approaches such as Lego Therapy, Drawing and Talking, ELSA, or similar.
Key Responsibilities
