Summary
Newbold Parish Church Pre-school has an opening for a Pre-school Assistant to join our friendly team who provide quality early years care for children aged 2-5 years.
Working hours for the position will be 27.5 hours per week.
It is essential for the candidate to hold a Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and it is ideal for them to have a passion for helping children grow and develop.
Experience of working in a childcare environment is preferred but no essential. We are looking for a caring, reliable and motivated individual with good communication skills.
A knowledge of the EYFS framework would be preferred, but not essential as guidance will be given
Duties will include:
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children aged 2 - 5 Years.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to play, learn, enhance and develop.
-Being committed and dedicated to the children in your care
-Engage children in age appropriate activities
-Assist with toileting, nappy changing, feeding and other daily routines.
-Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's learning, progress, and general day to day matters.
-Being Key adult to children, completing learning journey's, assessments, observations and more.
-Maintain a clean environment that is well organised.
-Training when required
We are looking for someone who:
- Is highly motivated
- Willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
- Is a team player but can also work well alone
- Uses initiative and works under pressure when required
- Is enthusiastic, caring, friendly and welcoming
Successful candidates will be expected to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
