Summary

Part Time 34 hours per week (covering three schemes)

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced cleaner to manage three Independent Living Schemes on weekly basis.

The main purpose of the Scheme Cleaner is to provide an effective cleaning service to the Independent Living Scheme and ensure the specified standard of cleanliness is maintained.

You will be required to provide this effective cleaning service across multiple locations within the Borough.

Your role will include working within specified work schedules and specifications and to clean all areas and items to the frequency and standards required. To ensure that cleaning is carried out using the appropriate equipment and materials. You will also need to make sure all duties are carried out in accordance with instructions to comply with councils Health and Safety Policy. You will also need to liaise with the Cleaning Team Leader in relation to workload and standards.

The Council has a positive approach to training and development and will seek to facilitate appropriate job-related training. Please ensure you demonstrate in your application how you achieve the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification. Consideration may be given to applicants who do not achieve all essential criteria but are able to demonstrate a good level of relevant work experience.

There are 3 schemes to be covered by the post holder, all schemes have cleaning equipment on site. Please see the Personal Specification for further information.

• Cleaning
• Working with customers
• Working with vulnerable people
• Managing their own time and workload
• Able to adapt to changing priorities

This is a permanent role and will involve travel around the Borough of Broxtowe.
