Summary
THE COMPANY:
A manufacturer and supplier of Quality Steel products based in the UK, with a strong network of customers both in the UK and overseas, providing a extensive product range such as: Steel Wire Fencing, Stock Fencing, Sheep, Lamb, Horse netting and fencing, Barbed Wire, Chain Link, Line Wires, Staples, Hexagonal Wire Netting along with the stronger, safer and more versatile Fencing.
MAIN DUTIES:
Prepare and organize production runs in accordance with production plans
provided.
Maintain the machine if approved to do so to agreed standards and to ensure a
long and efficient life.
Complete production paperwork accurately and punctually.
Use measuring equipment, as required.
Check raw materials for quality and size.
Report production problems beyond your control to minimize downtime and
optimize output & quality.
Follow equipment instructions and training advice.
Recommend and implement agreed changes to processes as required to
optimize output or quality.
Select an appropriate running speed consistent with effective output and safe
operation.
Pack product being produced and ensure presentation is of a high standard
and correctly labelled.
Ensure work materials are available for jobs as required.
Ensure finished goods are located correctly.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Has previous experience working within an engineering / manufacturing
environment.
Hands on person, who will happily get stuck into the role, with a can-do
attitude.
Methodical in the way they work.
Show commitment to the role with good punctuality, timekeeping, and
attendance.
Numerate and Literate.
Willing to train in different areas of the business and learn new skills.
Manual and Mechanical aptitude.
Interest or knowledge of car mechanics desirable but not essential.
