Summary

Intern (Performance Analysis)
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate to join our team as a Sport Performance Analysis (SPA) Intern. In this role, you’ll work alongside academic programme staff to support undergraduate students as they deliver applied analysis to Cardiff Met Performance Sport stakeholders, while also developing your own skills and gaining valuable experience in a professional environment.


You’ll lead the way by:
Supporting students with data capture, video workflows and coach-athlete feedback.
Helping demonstrate software tools and practical techniques during practical workshops.
Contributing to the setup and use of cameras, IP systems and analysis software.
Assisting in the delivery of sport performance analysis services to teams and coaches.
Working collaboratively with staff to enhance SPA services and operational efficiency.
Being a proactive and supportive presence in labs and at sports sessions as well as helping students to succeed in real-world performance environments.


What you’ll bring
You’ll be an enthusiastic graduate with a strong interest in sport performance analysis and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

A genuine interest in sport performance analysis, a commitment to developing your own practice, and a desire to support the learning and development of others.
Knowledge of software such as Hudl SportsCode, Angles, or Nacsport.
Familiarity and understanding of performance analysis hardware and software, including operation of video camera systems.
A 2:1 or above in Sport Performance Analysis, Sport & Exercise Science, Coaching or a related field.
A collaborative approach with strong communication and organisation skills.
The ability to take initiative, manage tasks and contribute to team goals under guidance.
