The Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting a Caretaker for various locations which include Maison Dieu (Dover Townhall), Kearsney Abby and the Whitfield Office on a contract of 22 hours per week.

This role is vital to the day–to–day running of the corporate assets.

Some of the tasks involved will include:
- Maintenance and minor repairs;
- Making sure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly;
- Booking outside contractors in for associated works to buildings;
- Supporting with office moves;
- Ensuring cleanliness of buildings, internally and externally (including paths, car parks and grassed areas);
- Collection and storage of waste;
- Arranging tables and chairs for meetings;
- Ensuring refreshments are replenished in meeting rooms;
- Opening and closing the building;
- Carrying out H&S weekly/monthly tests.


Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an individual who:
- Can work alone and as part of a team
- Will need to have a proactive way of thinking as at times will need to deliver the day-to-day tasks across the various sites
- Can prioritise workload whilst ensuring that planned weekly Health and safety tasks are carried out across all sites.
- Has a driving licence as on occasions will be required to work at other locations including the Maison Dieu, Kearsney Abbey and the Roman Painted House.

This will include weekend and evening working.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Standard DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances.

A full, clean and valid UK driving license and use of a motor vehicle for business use is required for this role.

As this role involves the use of vibration equipment, any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory medical clearance. We will ask you to complete a medical questionnaire which will be sent to our occupational health medical advisor and as a result of this you may be asked to undergo a medical.
