Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager who understands both UK and Chinese procurement processes, especially in the food and restaurant sectors. This role is vital for ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality ingredients, equipment, and supplies from both local and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the restaurant’s procurement process, including supplier selection, price negotiation, and order management
Source ingredients and materials from both UK and Chinese markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams
Ensure all purchases align with budget and operational requirements
Handle customs, shipping, and logistics documentation when sourcing from China
Requirements:
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the restaurant or food industry
In-depth knowledge of procurement practices in both China and the UK
Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is essential
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with import regulations and documentation processes is a plus
