Summary
Accountant – Sheffield – Full time 5 days a week with some flexibility –to c£35k + benefits
Ash Consulting are recruiting for a talented Accountant to join our long-established family run business based in Sheffield. This is a stand-alone accounting role ideal for an accounting professional who has worked within a manufacturing or business services environment.
This is a full time, office-based role that will manage the internal accounts function supporting the continued success of the business.
The company provide 28 days holiday, some flexibility around hours and a friendly supportive work environment, that is reflected in the very low staff turnover.
As Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
-All aspects of bookkeeping using Xero
-Production of monthly management accounts
-Producing VAT returns
-In-house payroll production for a small team
-Employee expenses
-Production of daily cash reports
-Year-end accounts production
-Liaising with auditors
-Consolidation of group accounts
-General finance duties as required
-Liaising with suppliers
-Credit control
-Dealing with utilities, insurances, company contracts and other administrative duties
-Liaising with the management team to ensure the smooth functioning of the business
