Summary

Sunderland City Council is committed to playing a key and impactful role in the development and successful delivery of the Sunderland City Plan 2035, working in partnership to create a connected, international city with opportunities for all.



As such, the Corporate Strategy Team within the Strategy andamp; Corporate Affairs Directorate is building its capacity to support senior council leaders to develop a thorough understanding of communities in Sunderland, and ensure residents feel connected to decision-making and the design and delivery of services.



In this role, you will therefore support the Senior Manager andndash; Corporate Strategy to brief senior elected members and officers on key issues for the city and its residents, developing policy insights and ensuring effective communications with communities, partners and stakeholders.



You will also support them with the building of relationships and their delivery of communications, consultation and engagement activity on plans, developments and events throughout the city.



There will be the opportunity to work on some important and exciting projects and initiatives taking place in Sunderland and to support senior members and officers in undertaking their roles.



Strong people, communication and organisational skills will therefore be key along with the ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload.
