We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of young learners. The successful candidate will possess the skills to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and can thrive.
This pivotal role combines the core responsibilities of an HLTA with the specialised focus of running a nurture group. You'll work closely with teachers to enhance teaching and learning, providing targeted support to children who need extra help with their social, emotional, and learning development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead our Nurture Group: Plan and deliver tailored learning within a safe, nurturing environment.
• Deliver Engaging Activities: Provide learning for individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
• Assess & Report: Monitor and report on student progress and attainment, especially for nurture group children.
• Support Well-being: Foster social and emotional development; implement strategies for emotional regulation.
• Develop IEPs: Contribute to and attend reviews for Individual Development Plans.
• Provide Specialist Support: Assist pupils with diverse needs (e.g., learning difficulties, SEMH, EAL).
We are seeking an individual who has highly developed communication skills for effective pupil engagement and who has an exceptional ability to build rapport and create a supportive atmosphere for vulnerable children.
