Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
A degree-level qualification in IT or a related discipline, or substantial professional experience supported by relevant and current industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation or equivalent)
Full UK Driving Licence
Proven experience in IT support; ability to manage workload across multiple sites
Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019+, Active Directory, Group Policy, software deployment
Experience with cybersecurity, endpoint protection, backup and recovery systems
Administering Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange, Hybrid, Purview) Network infrastructure (routers, switches, cabling), virtualisation (e.g. Hyper-V)
Experience with filtering software, MDM, MIS (e.g. SIMS), access control, CCTV,IP Telephony, Follow- Me printing
Experience supervising or line managing technical staff

The successful candidate for this role willsupport and develop IT systems across all Trust sites, ensuring reliable access to technology and network stability for staff and students. This role has a strong focus on leading staff and improving IT processes to enhance service delivery across the Trust.
Main duties include:
• Provide support and development of IT infrastructure and associated peripherals across Trust Academies and the Core Team, following best practice methodologies.
• Operate at a senior level within the ICT team to enhance services Trust-wide, including mentoring and supporting junior technicians with complex issues.
• Line manage ICT Technicians, Apprentices, and Work Experience students. Ensuring cover & high-quality support across sites by proactively identifying and resolving issues using helpdesk, remote support, and monitoring tools.
• Lead key ICT projects, including managing communications with third-party suppliers and support providers.
