We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated individual to join our library team and be our Mobile Library driver.

The Mobile Library operates across Islay and Jura, engaging with the local community, schools and nurseries. You will be able to work independently with a flexible approach, whilst delivering a high standard of customer service.

You will have experience of working with the public in customer focussed role, together with good administrative, IT, communication and organisational skills.

This role requires travel throughout Islay and Jura, therefore good time keeping is essential in operating the mobile library schedule accurately and safely, with a commitment in providing a high-quality customer-focused service to the local communities. An interest and knowledge of Library Services would be desirable.

The job candidate must have at least three standard grades or equivalents, including English. It is essential that the candidate holds a current and clean driver’s licence to C1 standard, with experience of driving commercial/ good vehicles. Possessing a driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is beneficial.

This is a temporary post for 1 year, working 14hrs per week over 2 days.
