The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Health & Safety team on a permanent basis. The role involves working 30 hours per week, on a 40 week per year contract.

We are looking for a proactive, organised and people focused team player to join us. The role will involve working closely with our Health & Safety and Security Manager to help create a safe, welcoming and well-prepared learning environment for our students, staff and visitors.
The role will be based at our Accrington & Rossendale campus, however travel across sites will be required.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting the daily running of our health and safety systems
- Helping carry out risk assessments, inspections and audits
- Assisting with incident investigations and safety reports
- Coordinating fire drills, first aid arrangements and emergency procedures
- Keeping records tidy, up to date and ready for action
- Working with teams across the college to promote a strong safety culture
What We Are Looking For:
- 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
- IoSH Managing Safely certificate
- Display an interest or passion for keeping people healthy and safe in the workplace
- A keen eye for details and a calm, can-do attitude
- Confidence to speak up, get involved and keep things running smoothly and safely
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Have the ability to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate within tight deadlines
- Experience of providing high levels of internal and/or external customer care
