The Llanishen High School Primary Attendance Officer team is expanding.
The Llanishen High Primary Schools Cluster are looking for a highly motivated and organised School Attendance Officer. The role of the Attendance Officer will be to work in collaboration with the current cluster attendance officers, the Headteachers and administrators across the seven primary schools to help monitor and improve pupil attendance.
The primary cluster consists of Bryn Celyn Primary, Pontprennau Primary, Glyncoed Primary, Lisvane Primary, Thornhill Primary, Coed Glas Primary and Ton Yr Ywen Primary. The role will be based at Bryn Celyn Primary with the expectation that the officer will support the work across all schools in the cluster.
We are looking to recruit a pro-active individual to work with targeted families and engage them in the learning process. The post holder will strengthen links between schools, parents and the wider community in order to reduce the impact of poor attendance on educational attainment.
We are looking for a committed person who will:
• Work to build strong relationships with pupils, parents and school staff.
• Work across several schools effectively to increase attendance across the cluster.
• Be committed to working as a team
• Be sensitive to the needs and beliefs of a wide range of diverse families
• Be able to use their initiative to manage workload effectively.
