Nursery Practitioner – £26,000 – 40 Hours Over 4 Days

Our client, a welcoming and inclusive nursery setting, is currently seeking a qualified and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time position offering a salary of £26,000, with 40 hours worked over just 4 days – supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a nursery, pre-school, or childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • First Aid trained (or willingness to complete training).

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality care and learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support each child’s physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities to encourage creativity and curiosity.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress, sharing updates with families.
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for children and parents alike.
  • Ensure children's safety through adherence to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, well-organised nursery environment.
