Summary
Face-to-face consultations as per appointment slots. Also, a share of any extras if needed. Morning Visits triage of requests and visits in collaboration with the other doctors on. These are not common Afternoon visits responsibility for covering or helping cover for these on a specified late afternoon until 6.30pm. These are not common. Phone consultations 10 minute phone calls Morning triage telephone or face-to-face appointments Results actioning own and sometimes helping cover when doctors are away Scripts signing own and sometimes helping cover when doctors are away. You are likely to need to dial in a couple of times a week to deal with these if you work only one or two days a week. Docman these are filtered by admin staff so you will be sent only those needing action or for information. Looking at own and checking data added or adding and actioning as required E-mails dealing with own Patient notes dealing with own. You may wish to dial in a couple of times a week to action these if you work only one or two days a week. Checking complicated or large notes of own new patients all notes will be summarised and a computerised summary created by admin staff. Summarised notes need to be reviewed by the usual doctor. Meetings you are encouraged to attend relevant meetings. Safeguarding: The post-holder will follow the MHCC policy for safeguarding. A copy of the policy is available to all staff. It is stored in Legacy/Safeguarding/MHCC safeguarding policy.Our Safeguarding Leads are Dr Mansoor Choudhary, GP Lead and Victoria Bolton, Safeguarding Admin Lead. (Deputy Safeguarding GP will be the patients usual GP) Extra time The contract is nominally for sessions of 4 hours and 10 minutes as per the BMA model contract. However, with meetings, all the relevant admin work and as your patient list increases, your workload could well build up to more than this over the year. Any difficulties with your workload would need bringing to the Partners attention. Extra / swopped sessions When a doctor is away for a week partners may cover by doing an extra session. The number of sessions done per year being pro-rata with the number of sessions worked. You will not be expected to take part in this but may occasionally be asked to swop a session to help with cover or offered the chance of being paid to do a locum session if you are available. Summary of GPC model contract and variations Period of notice 3 month on either side (as per model contract) Annual leave 6 weeks pro-rata (as per model contract) Public holidays 8 statutory days per year Study leave 1 session per year per session worked. More leave will be allowed for longer courses by mutual agreement. NHS Appraisals 1 session per year off to be appraised Maternity/Paternity leave and pay as per model contract Sickness pay as per model contract Fees for forms etc will be the property of the practice (as per model contract).
