About Us:
Chowrasta is a vibrant Indian restaurant dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences through authentic cuisine and excellent service. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Floor Manager to oversee front-of-house operations and ensure customer satisfaction at every level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily floor operations, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming environment
* Lead and motivate front-of-house team, including waitstaff and hosts
* Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
* Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service
* Manage reservations and table plans effectively
* Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff on service standards
* Monitor hygiene, health & safety, and licensing compliance
* Oversee cash handling, billing, and till operations
* Assist in stock control and ordering for the front of house
* Provide support for special events and private bookings
* Personal Alcohol Licence holder (or willingness to obtain one)
Mandatory Requirements:
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role in a busy restaurant
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent knowledge of customer service and floor operations
* Right to work in the UK
* Fluent in English
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Personal Alcohol Licence holder (or willingness to obtain one)
* Experience with EPOS and reservation systems
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality or equivalent
* First Aid at Work certification
* Basic knowledge of wine and beverage service
* Understanding of allergen and dietary requirements
