Summary
Cygnets Pre-School is owned and operated by Hope Church, a member of Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance who are the registered provider for the setting. Cygnets moved from the church building to The Well, 127 Nest Farm Crescent, Wellingborough, NN8 4TU in 2009.
We are registered for 46 children per day, we have 2 large rooms, one of which is for children aged 2-3 years and a larger main room for the 3–4-year-old children. There are a number of gardens available for physical play including bike track, undercover area, wider garden which has astro-turf for all year-round use and a beautiful ‘wild area’ for children’s nature exploration.
We are a Term Time setting open from Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.00pm. We aim to provide a warm and inviting environment in which our children are able to relax and enjoy the facilities and opportunities on offer. All staff have consideration for children as individuals and encourage them to gain confidence and independence by involving them in all the play experiences and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of dedicated early years staff
Ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum aligned with EYFS
Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, parents, and carers
Oversee the operational, financial, and administrative aspects of the nursery
Maintain compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding requirements
Support the Christian ethos of the setting and collaborate with church leadership
The Ideal Candidate Ideally Will Have:
A Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare or equivalent (essential)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role
A sound understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
A commitment to upholding Christian values in a professional setting
A warm, nurturing approach to working with young children and families
