Summary

Do you have a blend of direct service management knowledge as well as proven experience of managing the support of applications?

Senior Service Managers are responsible for managing the delivery of services for Information Technology (IT), and interfacing with teams from IT Service Operations. They ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, manage service levels, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

You will work within the Service Management function to ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) are adhered to for both external and internal teams to expected standards.

You will also oversee IT Service Managers, and liaise with all other IT service functions to ensure that services are maintained. They oversee the day-to-day operation of solutions, platforms, and services, assisting with the testing and deployment of releases, as well as delivering new functionality required by the business while protecting the integrity of existing services.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Working and communicating effectively with business representatives across MCA to ensure services are delivered according to their expectations.
  • Managing service levels and contracts.
  • Management of budgets, supplier development plans and dispute resolution.
  • Service delivery of applications across MCA.
  • Delivering continuous service improvements and innovation for all live services.
  • Responsible for securing funding for delivery through a business case.
  • Reporting performance quality measures and ensuring they meet good practice and standards.
  • Responsible for the relationship management and ongoing management of digital, data and technology external suppliers including management of supplier performance through regular service reviews.
