Assessment and Diagnosis: Conducting reflective assessments, diagnosing, and treating conditions of the foot, ankle, and related structures to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and maintain tissue viability for patients across Oxfordshire Primary Care Management: Managing the ongoing primary care of patients eligible for NHS podiatry, including those with 'at risk' foot health status, toenail pathology, and those requiring wound care and orthoses Caseload Management: Independently managing a caseload of patients, ensuring effective communication and liaison with other healthcare professionals, and referring patients for further care as needed Team Collaboration: Working within a podiatry team and developing professional links across care pathways, as well as participating in audits and service development projects Training and Education: Supporting the training of junior staff, including apprentices and students, and undertaking training and education for a range of healthcare professionals and service users Clinical Skills Maintenance: Maintaining high-quality clinical skills and ensuring continuing professional development in line with local and national guidelines Patient Care: Providing care in various settings, including patients' homes, and ensuring adherence to departmental, Trust, and HCPC objectives, policies, standards, and guidelines. These duties ensure that the podiatrist provides high-quality care and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the Community Podiatry Service.
