Summary
Purchasing / Stock Controller
An excellent opportunity has arisen for permanent Purchasing / Stock Controller for our client-based Ipswich (IP3). The successful candidate will play a key role in managing stock and inventory, ensuring smooth material flow from supplier to shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee end-to-end purchase order management, including supplier liaison and delivery tracking
• Maintain accurate stock data, including product codes, shelf life, MOQs, and lead times in Javelin and Trello
• Support inventory planning for fast-moving and customer-underwritten stock
• Coordinate import/export paperwork and liaise with couriers and freight providers
• Track materials to/from third-party subcontractors and ensure documentation is complete
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Quality, and Finance to ensure inventory accuracy and availability
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in manufacturing stock control or inventory coordination
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Ideally have experience in using supply chain systems (Javelin, Trello or similar)
