Summary
SVP Healthcare are looking to recruit a Senior Carer for The Old Vicarage Care Home in North Shields. We have full time and part time roles. The ideal candidate is has a transferable DBS and can start immediately.
Responsibilities
Care duties including assistance with bathing, eating, using the bathroom and dispensing medication.
Some paperwork including care plans, assessments and audits.
Planning and participating in elderly daycare activities.
Act at all times in line with CQC guidelines and to understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well being, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are promptly investigated and dealt with appropriately.
Personal Specification/ Skill required
Minimum NVQ level 3 in care.
Minimum 5 years experience of in a care Home.
Demonstrate the ability to lead staff and act responsibly.
Have a positive attitude to developing staff and enhancing care of residents.
Evidence of up to date training.
Knowledge of the CQC requirements.
Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities
Must have current DBS
