Summary

Volunteer with us - Make a difference!!

Join our team of Peer Mentor and Volunteers within our Phoenix Futures Essex Services and help bring visible recovery to our service users to people who use our services. You will gain the opportunity and skills to run groups, provide 1-1 support and to be involved with improving our services.

Phoenix Futures Services in Essex recruit, train and develop peer mentor volunteers to support and engage the people who use our services, in a holistic and trauma informed approach. We seek guidance and knowledge from our lived experience representatives to co-design and co- produce the service delivery across Essex.

Services that Phoenix Futures run in Essex includes:

Futures Together (Criminal Justice and Social Inclusion services)
Essex Liaison and Diversion.
Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT).
Drug and Alcohol Street Support (DASS).
Phoenix Housing and Supported Tenancy (HoSTs).
ESAT service

Purpose of the Role

To support with the running and delivery of services.
To support with the running and facilitation of groups.
To provide support and encouragement to people accessing community services and activities.
To use your lived experience and knowledge to help design and co-produce services and support new initiatives.
To offer one-to-one peer mentoring to service users who have been referred for this support where appropriate.
