Summary
We are a 50-place nursery looking for a kitchen assistant to help our cook after lunch and then to prepare and clear up a simple tea.
Your role will be to wash up after lunch and prepare a light tea, such as beans on toast, daily. You will work with the cook to maintain a clean kitchen, adhering to Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, and Ofsted requirements. You will need to be flexible, friendly and must enjoy interacting with children. It would be good to have experience in maintaining kitchen hygiene.
Applicants need to have:
- a food hygiene qualification
- experience of maintaining a clean, tidy kitchen
- a good understanding of food allergies and how to manage the preparation and serving of food to meet the needs of children with different dietary requirements and allergies
- a secure level of English that enables you to read and understand food hygiene laws and explain to food hygiene inspectors how you are complying with these laws.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 to 5:30 pm
