A Tier One Main Contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major aviation infrastructure project based at Heathrow Airport. This is a key commercial role on a long-term, complex programme within a live airport environment.
The Role:As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial part in the successful commercial management of high-value construction packages within a secure, safety-critical aviation environment. You will report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with project and client teams to ensure commercial objectives are met across all stages of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:-
Manage the commercial and contractual performance of multiple packages of work

Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations, forecasts, and cost reports

Lead subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, and payments

Administer contracts (Option A & C) and ensure compliance

Monitor project budgets and provide cost advice to delivery teams

Handle change control, early warnings, and risk management

Assist with final accounts and claims

Support and mentor junior commercial staff as required

Liaise with client and stakeholder representatives in a live, operational airport setting

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

Previous experience working on aviation or transport projects (Heathrow experience advantageous)

Experience working for a Tier One Main Contractor (essential)

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field

Chartered (MRICS) or working towards professional accreditation (preferred)

Able to work within a high-security, live site environment

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
