This role would be a fantastic opportunity for an HCPC registered Clinical Scientist to develop their experience and expertise in all areas of Radiotherapy. Pre-registration physicists on recognised training routes who are close to registration would be considered for appointment at a lower band.

This role includes supporting the delivery and development of brachytherapy services, QA, planning and commissioning of equipment and new techniques. Dedicated time for R&D work will be given to support the many ongoing projects in the department. Service development and innovation are at the core of our work and staff are encouraged to attend and present their work at National and International meetings. The post holder will also contribute to teaching and training. The department is an accredited training department for Clinical Scientists and Technologists. The clinical service is delivered over 2 sites (Southampton and Basingstoke) and the post holder may on occasions need to travel between centres. Flexible working patterns are supported within the hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
