Summary
Detailed job description and main responsibilities Training in expert diagnosis and management of adult patients with valvular heart disease Training in performance of structural cardiac interventions, specifically transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve procedures, and to develop proficiency as a primary operator Develop expertise in case selection, procedural judgment, and technical ability for structural cardiac interventions Demonstratecompetency with preprocedure evaluation, timely and informative reporting of results and therapeutic recommendations Develop into an educator in the field and to serve as a valuable resource in their community Detailed schedule The proposed Structural Interventional fellowship will encompass high volume structural interventional exposure, training as a primary operator; focusing on Mitral & Tricuspid Intervention, with opportunities to undertake a broad base of other Structural Intervention as outlined in the Learning Objectives. The fellowship will be undertaken cross-site at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in line with the teams clinical activities. The appointed fellow will have general Cardiology on call and ward cover commitments as part of the Specialty Registrar rota.
