About the service: Located in the vibrant heart of Northampton, St Matthews Unit is a purpose-built residential nursing home offering 52 specialist care beds. We provide high-quality nursing care and long-term rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health needs, including dementia, organic disorders, and high-dependency conditions. Our service supports a wide range of care pathways, including: Hospital step-down placements High-functioning recovery programmes Individuals with mild to moderate learning disabilities (LD) Clients with organic mental health disorders and complex nursing needs A dedicated female-only section for those who prefer non-mixed accommodation Key Responsibilities of the Role: Coordinating the planning and implementation of patient care Developing and coordinating individual or group therapeutic activities Managing aspects of medication management in line with the Trust and NMC guidelines Participating in clinical review meetings Promoting, fostering, and ensuring good working relationships Adhering to all NMC, CQC and local authority standards and guidelines including the NMC code of professional conduct Acting as an advocate for our patients and residents Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
