Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Stockport
Salary Package: Up to £40,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time | 3 on, 3 off shift pattern (10am – 10pm)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable children’s residential care provider who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their well-established team in Stockport.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed professional with a strong background in residential childcare to step into a leadership role and help create positive outcomes for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
Salary & Benefits
Base Salary: £35,200 per annum
Performance Bonus: Up to £4,800 annually
Total Earnings Potential: Up to £40,000 per year
Shift Pattern: Fixed 3 on, 3 off (10am–10pm)

Role Overview
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, helping to lead a team of care professionals and ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise care staff across shifts
• Support with planning, compliance, and staff development
• Maintain high standards of care and safeguarding
• Act as a role model and promote positive relationships with young people
• Contribute to the home’s stability and therapeutic approach
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in a children’s residential care setting
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or senior role
Qualifications:
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
• Level 4 Diploma in Children, Young People & Families – desirable (or willingness to work towards)
Additional Requirements:
• Full UK driving licence
• Access to a vehicle for commuting
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
