We are seeking an experienced and talented Bid Writer to join our established successful funding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing persuasive and compelling grant applications and tender responses to secure funding and partnerships for CAMM. As a Bid Writer, you will play a pivotal role in helping the organisation to sustain and grow, including supporting the organisation to expand into new markets.
We are looking for someone who:
• Evidence of excellence in producing high scoring written content for competitive tenders with strong focus on attention to detail.
• Strong research and analytical skills to identify and evaluate funding opportunities and tender requirements.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage complex tenders, precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the funding and development team and subject matter experts to ensure all available win themes and solution benefits are captured within the written submission and sufficiently evidenced where possible.
• Possession of a full driving licence and use of a car.
Responsibilities / Key Tasks:
• Research and Identify Funding Opportunities: Proactively research and identify potential grant opportunities, requests for proposals (RFPs), and tenders from foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other relevant sources that align with CAMM's mission and programmes.
• Proposal Development: Write, edit, and develop high-quality tender responses, ensuring that they effectively communicate the organisation's goals, strategies, and desired outcomes. This will include providing advice and guidance to the Assistant Bid Writer, to support and guide the development of high-quality content.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with operations managers, finance, and other relevant staff to gather information, data, and budgetary details, and develop service delivery models, necessary for grant applications and tenders, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.
• Bid Management: Manage the end-to-end bid process, including researching, preparing, submitting, and tracking grant applications and tenders. Ensure compliance with all submission requirements and deadlines.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funding organisations, partners, and donors to enhance CAMM's reputation and funding prospects, and to co-develop joint applications/tenders.
• Content Creation: Create compelling content, such as case studies, success stories, and impact reports, to support funding applications and tender submissions.
