Summary

The School of Medicine wishes to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join the clinical years MBBS team at Burnley campus.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure successful delivery of the undergraduate MBBS clinical years (Years 3-5). A critical element of this role is liaison with the University’s partner clinical institutions. The post holder will plan the delivery of campus-based teaching and liaise with internal staff and external organisations to organise delivery. They will monitor student attendance, arrange student travel and process expenses claims.

The post holder will work at the Burnley campus. Occasional travel to other campuses and partner institutions may be required.

About you:

You will have demonstrable experience of current administrative/clerical practices and significant experience of working in an environment with a high degree of customer contact, whilst being able to communicate effectively with staff and other agencies, in person, in writing and on the telephone .

A range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning are an essential requirement of this role.
