Summary

We’re looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to supervise the Waste & Neighbourhoods team for Boston Borough Council.



No two days are every the same, you will need to be proactive, reactive and be able to think on your feet!



Boston Borough Council deliver its statutory functions as a Waste Collection Authority and Principal Litter Authority. You will be responsible for the fleet compliance as transport managers along with supporting the Supervisors with the day to day running of the depot and teams. Another key part of the role includes supervision of approx. 40 staff, health & safety will be a big part of the role, Risk Assessment, training and staff performance monitoring and reviewing. Staff work rotas and work schedules. Dealing with enquiries and complaints. Attend various meetings and working groups.



We are looking for someone who has strong organisation skills alongside a calm approach to situations that may arise. Communication skills are key as you will be working with teams, colleagues, Councillors and the public. Previous leadership experience is essential for this role as you will be dealing with employee management daily.



You will be the designated Transport Manager and hold the Operators licence so Certificate of Professional Competence Road Haulage (Transport Manager CPC) is essential.
