Summary
As a Peer Tutor and Learning Support Adviser, you will act as a role model by sharing your lived experience of recovery to inspire hope, motivate and support others in their recovery journey. You will assist service users, staff, and supporters to gain an understanding of personal recovery through co-producing and co-facilitating workshops and courses within the Norfolk and Suffolk Recovery College. You will also have the opportunity to support students accessing the college to plan individual learning and progression through the college. This will include development of individual learning plans and termly enrolment sessions along with reviewing progress for students each term. Peer tutors will show empathy, share experiences, inspire hope, and promote recovery, with the aim of assisting/supporting service users, staff and supporters to gain an understanding of personal recovery through co-producing and co-facilitating workshops and courses within the Norfolk and Suffolk Recovery College. Peer tutors will support students accessing the college to plan individual learning and progression through the college. This will include development of individual learning plans and termly enrolment sessions along with reviewing progress for students each term. Peer tutors will uphold the recovery focused culture and philosophy of the college in all interactions and tasks with students, the college team, wider colleagues internal to the trust and external partners, family, friend, members of the public and visitors to the college.
