Summary

Stores Assistant needed in Kimberley, Nottingham, £13.51ph PAYE - Reference: OR9731

The hours of work will be : Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 3.30 Friday 7.30 to 3.00 Lunch is 12.00 - 12.30

  • To assist with the day-to-day procuring, purchase and issuing of all items of stock (including fuel) through the utilisation of the IT systems and the Purchase Card facility.
  • To assist with the day-to-day control waste acceptance, in accordance with the conditions of the Waste Licence and the regulatory requirements of the Environment Agency, this includes providing administrative assistance regarding Duty of Care records.
  • To assist with the undertake of continuous stocktaking utilising IT systems in accordance with financial regulations and standing orders
  • Provide assistance in the monitoring of quantity and quality of materials and goods delivered.
  • Issue items of stores (including fuel) ensuring that documentation is accurate and correctly processed.
  • To assist with the management and control the horticultural chemical stores. Issuing and recording chemicals required by the Grounds Maintenance Department.
  • To assist the Chief Storekeeper in maintaining all compliance and legislative requirements by ensuring all required documentation relating to movement of waste is completed correctly.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining stock levels (Including fuel) in accordance with service requirements re-ordering against agreed reorder levels and notifying the Transport and Stores Manager of obsolete stock.
  • From time to time provide assistance with the small plant store issuing and recording items of powered plant required by service departments.
  • From time to time have responsibility for unlocking and locking the Stores building; and assist with the systems and the control of stakeholders access to the site through the automated entrance barrier.
  • Provide assistance in the undertaking of fire and security alarm test.
  • Carry out any other duties that are within the scope and grading of the post which could also be requested by the line manager or Assist Director of Environmental Services.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
