About the Role
Join our team at Maple Leaf House, a specialist nursing care home supporting adults with complex mental and physical health needs, including dementia. As a Bank Chef, you'll play a key role in preparing, plating, and serving meals, ensuring high standards of nutrition, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals, including special diets (e.g., purees, diabetic-friendly).
Plate and serve food attractively and hygienically.
Maintain cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
Monitor food storage, temperature logs, and deliveries.
Assist with snacks and catering for events and themed nights.
Requirements
Experience in catering or kitchen work
Basic food hygiene knowledge
Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
Willing to complete training (Food Hygiene, Health & Safety)
Desirable:
Food Hygiene Level 2
Experience in healthcare or care home kitchens
