Summary

Join a precision-driven engineering team at the forefront of steel fabrication and design.
We are seeking an experienced Draughtsperson with a strong background in secondary steelwork, structural components, steel chimneys, access stairs, gantries, and general welded fabrications. You will play a key role in producing detailed and accurate design packages, aligned with key industry standards including BS EN 13084, EN 1090, and ISO 3834.

Key Responsibilities:
• Produce accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and fully detailed manufacturing drawings using Advanced Steel (experience preferred).
• Develop designs in compliance with relevant standards, including BS EN 13084 for steel chimney structures, EN 1090 for structural steel execution, and ISO 3834 for welding quality requirements.
• Interpret engineering specifications into practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Revise and maintain drawings in line with engineering change processes and project updates.
• Liaise closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure design integrity and efficient build processes.
• Provide technical support throughout manufacturing, ensuring design intent is realised.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with internal procedures and project schedules.

Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Draughtsperson or Design Engineer in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge of structural steelwork, steel chimneys, and general fabricated assemblies.
• Understanding of key industry standards: BS EN 13084, EN 1090, and ISO 3834.
• Strong ability to read and produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Proficient in CAD software; Advance Steel preferred.
• Able to work independently and manage workload to meet critical project deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to design accuracy and compliance.
