Summary

Join us as Head of Hub for ICURe in Wales and the SW and you’ll play a pivotal part.

Your role:

You’ll be joining a university that is highly ranked in the UK for consultancy income generated and that has started 80 spinout and start-up companies since 2000. Your work could touch pioneering developments in cancer immunology, respiratory medicine, next generation diagnostics, clean energy and sustainability, marine, photonics and electronics and computer science.

You will:

work closely with Innovate UK senior leadership to align planned activity with the strategic research, innovation, and skills priorities of Innovate UK and UKRI.
work alongside IUK senior leadership, delivery partners and key stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout and communication ICURe programme including to accelerators and investors
support and evolve the national spinout ecosystem, building a framework that has strong ties with Business Growth Advisors/Specialists
support spinouts from the ICURe Exploit programme stage onward, ensuring they understand and are sign posted into the wider IUK offer and build productive relationships within their regional partners’ ecosystems.
build long-term partnerships with key regional and national funding organisations to maximise opportunities for external funding, long-term financial sustainability, and delivery of commercial outcomes.
About You:

Previous experience with the ICURe programme is essential. An ability to work with universities across the region, and to work with the Hub Management team and central IUK team across the UK.

We’ll also look to you to help build networks with potential industry partners and other external stakeholders, such as investors, social enterprise companies and local and central government.
