This is an exciting time for you to join Chesterfield Borough Council as we look to recruit a full time environmental service assistant officer to our environmental services team.

Your duties will involve the maintenance and cleaning of parks, playing fields, landscaped areas, open spaces, verges, footpaths and the public highway. You will make a proactive and positive contribution to the overall development, commercialisation and reputation of the service.

The successful candidate be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, so it is essential that successful candidates are able to work flexibly within the needs of the service. This post will be worked on a seasonal hour’s basis. For 26 weeks during the spring and summer period employees work 42 hours, and for 26 weeks they work 32 hours per week.

This role involves driving council vehicles therefore all applicants must hold a full driving licence.
