Summary

Communication & Relationship Skills To negotiate on difficult and controversial issues including absence, performance management and organisational change with managers, employees and trade union representatives. To provide evidence and specialist support at HR processes such as disciplinaries, grievances, consultations and capability processes. To provide and receive highly complex and sensitive communications in emotive and challenging situations such as disciplinaries and grievances. To attend business sector management meetings to offer advice and guidance on HR issues and pressures to support the performance and quality of the service. To coach and support managers in the application of fair and best practice HR process and procedure ensuring consistency is maintained across the Trust. Analytical & Judgemental Skills To use the most appropriate sources of information such as the employee database, ESR, rostering portal, GRS and establishment detail to analyse and interpret complex facts and situations to assess and recommend courses of action on complex, specialist HR issues and strategy. Planning and Organisational Skills To advise operational managers on the implementation and any adjustment of a broad range of HR strategies across the business sector.
