Summary
Finance Operations is responsible for conducting all foundation financial activities for Air Command through report production and initial financial analysis. The members of the Financial Accounting Team are the TLB’s experts on technical accounting returns and advice.
This SEO post within the team will be expected to:
Lead on IFRS16 for the TLB. This will involve assessing new contracts, providing advice to stakeholders, running the MOD’s Excel models to generate journals for input to the ledger, conducting reconciliations for the submission of the annual accounts.
Lead on the management of the TLB’s financial provisions calculation.
Lead on production and calculation of the monthly Cash Forecast.
Lead on the management of the RAF Museum Grant in Aid and inclusion in the RAF’s accounts.
Along with other members of the team, act as TLB VAT focal point, providing advice and conducting biannual assurance checks.
Cross-working with other members of the team to understand the accounting processes for the TLB’s aviation fuel to provide contingency during periods of other team members’ absence.
Line management of 2 staff (1 direct and 1 as countersigning officer).
