Summary


The Upper GI team are looking to appoint a new MDT Co-ordinator/Navigator to our current specialist admin team, this is a fixed term position to support the set up of our new specialist one stop clinic with integral specialist combined MDT.

You will play a pivotal role within the service, supporting patients to achieve agreed timely definitive treatment decisions from across Greater Manchester who require specialist input in a dedicated robust service

The role requires someone with exceptional administration and organisational skills, someone who can demonstrate great communication and interpersonal skills. A caring and sensitive attitude is essential as contact with patients, their families and carers is expected.
• Active cancer tracking of patients within the Oesophageal/Gastric service
• Coordination of the Specialist One Stop MDT
• Coordinating patient appointments
• Processing all admin/data requirements to support the clinical decision making
• Point of contact for patients/carers
• Using multiple IT/digital systems & video conferencing systems
• Working collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team both internally and external.
