Summary
You will need to embed strategic communications planning for the team. This includes:
Leading on all elements of strategic comms planning including audience insight, objective-setting and evaluation
Drafting the DIO communications strategy, supporting its implementation and monitoring and adapting it as necessary
Developing and maintaining strategic relationships across the business for effective horizon scanning and prioritisation
You will also be responsible for leading on and delivering change communications in DIO, with a specific responsibility for DIO’s current continuous improvement programme. As DIO’s priority, this will inform the strategic communications planning element of the role. The role is responsible for change communications across all audience groups, with the delivery element supported by the wider communications team.
As the Strategic Comms function sits across the entire communications team, you will also lead on continuous improvement for the team, ensuring that improvement initiatives are embedded.
You will be responsible for pan- corporate communications reporting, for example, reports to DIO’s ExCo and tracking overall communications performance. Additionally, the strategic comms team provide tactical support to the comms delivery teams when needed.
You will manage one SEO strategic communications officer, who manages one HEO strategic communications officer.
