Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
About the Role:
You will work across our mixed-age classes, supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing. Rather than being assigned to a single class, you will work where the need is greatest, which may vary from day to day. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is calm under pressure, and values being part of a close-knit team where everyone mucks in.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is caring, patient, and committed to helping every child thrive
• Has a flexible and proactive approach to working across different year groups and supporting a range of needs
• Works well in a team and communicates clearly with both adults and children
• Has some experience of working with primary-aged children (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
• Is reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to get involved in all aspects of school life
In return, we can offer:
• A warm, supportive staff team and a welcoming village school community
• A varied role where no two days are the same
• Opportunities for professional development
• Beautiful surroundings and a school with a strong ethos and values
• The chance to make a real difference in a small school where every child is known and valued
What the school offers its staff
Enthusiastic, motivated children who are keen to learn.
- Dedicated, inspirational and talented staff.
- An ambitious, supportive and committed governing body.
- An inclusive learning environment to meet our children’s needs.
- Supportiveparents and carers.
- Strong links with the local community, partnership schools and our local church.
- A great foundation for continued success and an exciting future.
Commitment to safeguarding
Oxfordshire Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All users are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
