Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITES *Medical care of Orthogeriatric patients on our Trauma wards, predominantly fractured neck of femur patients. *Maintaining the highest clinical standards in the management of Orthogeriatric patients on the trauma unit and other clinical areas, as required. *To share with colleagues' responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Orthogeriatric patients on the trauma unit, in line with national and local clinical guidelines. *Teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and Allied Health Professionals. *To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME). *To actively participate in both departmental and Trusts matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit. *To attend meetings as appropriate. *Fulfil duties of weekly timetables, including out of hours or weeks with prior agreement.
