Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Department for a highly motivated Aerospace and Aviation Engineering Technician. We are seeking to appoint a technician to support the delivery of Level 3 to Level 5 Pearson qualifications in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering, as part of our expanding provision in this specialist area.You will support the delivery of high-quality practical sessions within our aerospace and aviation laboratories, classrooms, and workshops. Key duties include maintaining and preparing aerospace and aviation-related equipment and components, assisting with demonstrations, and collaborating closely with academic teams to ensure outstanding learner experience during practical and applied learning sessions.We are looking for individuals with industrial experience in aerospace and/or aviation engineering environments. You should have strong technical knowledge and the confidence to work independently. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining tools, resources, and workshop areas, ordering equipment, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring that all activities are carried out in line with Health and Safety regulations relevant to the aviation industry. Essential Qualifications:- Level 2 in Maths and English or equivalent (e.g.GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above)- Level 2 qualification or higher in Aerospace or Aviation Engineering, or a closely related discipline- Industrial experience in Aerospace or Aviation Engineering (e.g. aircraft maintenance, avionics, aerospace manufacturing)
