Are you an experienced manufacturing leader with a passion for continuous improvement?
We're hiring a Factory Manager to lead operations at a high-volume manufacturing site in Falkirk. With around 250 staff under your leadership, you'll be responsible for Production, Engineering, Health & Safety, and Quality - driving results through people, process, and data.
This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in line balancing, lean manufacturing, and leading large teams in a fast-paced environment. You'll have the autonomy to make a real difference and the backing of a supportive senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:-
Lead and manage daily operations across production, engineering, H&S, and quality.

Drive manufacturing KPIs, ensuring targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery are met.

Build a lean/CI culture, implementing tools such as 5S, visual management, and root cause analysis.

Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and optimise line balancing and resource planning.

Develop and coach team leaders and supervisors to build capability and ownership.

Reduce downtime through collaboration with the engineering and maintenance teams.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and ISO standards.

Experience as a Factory Manager / Operations Manager / Production Manager in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Proven leadership of large teams (100+ people).

Strong analytical skills - confident using data to drive performance improvements.

Deep understanding of line balancing, workflow optimisation, and labour efficiency.

Working knowledge of HSE regulations and ISO 9001/14001/45001.

HNC or above in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar.
