Job Overview
-We are looking for two General Mates to work at NHS Rampton to carry out PAT testing, planned preventative maintenance, repairs, reactive and RAW works.
-You must be able to work to high levels of health and safety, understand and be able to work to building statutory requirements and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
-You should have a full, current, driving licence, be IT literate for record keeping, have good customer service skills, be physically able to carry out the fuller duties detailed in the job description.
-The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance within the construction sector, or similar.
Job Objectives and responsibilities
-Maintenance of engineering services on resident contract at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
-Assist skilled tradesmen across all trades as required and dictated by the current workload
-Ensure the company health and safety policy is adhered to at all times
-Ensure compliance with the Mitie maintenance quality management system as it applies to this position
Main Duties
-Carry out planned preventative maintenance, repairs, reactive and RAW works
-Assist with all tradesman when required
-Work at other sites within the portfolio when required
-Complete work sheets for works undertaken
-Attend call outs/breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis, repair or advise as needed
-Assist with tank cleaning following the correct level of training
-Complete periodic PAT testing as required
-Unblock sanitary equipment when requested, including but not limited to toilets, sinks and shower drains
-Ensure workshop and other areas kept tidy and waste removed to skip
-Escort external contractors if required
-Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal working hours, with additional remuneration
-Submit weekly timesheets on time, keep daily records up to date and complete other documentation as requested
-Complete ID checks when required, including but not limited to drivers licence mandate checks and DBS checks

-Ability to work unsupervised on shifts
-Flexible approach to working patterns
-Hold, or willing to be trained for, working at heights utilising MEWPS or other access equipment
-General knowledge of maintenance activities
-Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
-Adaptable to a changing environment and workload
