Summary
Your new role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the transactional finance operations, lead the preparation of management accounts, ensure accurate financial reporting, and act as a strategic business partner to senior stakeholders. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transactional Finance Oversight
- Manage and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and process improvements.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
2. Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Produce variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Business Partnering
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning and investment decisions.
- Present financial results and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Act as a trusted advisor to non-finance teams, translating financial data into actionable insights.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel and financial modelling.
